The Story of The Luv Scrub
Question: What do you get when you mix a fun loving wife, no baby sitter, a jar of sugar scrub and a bathtub with a frisky husband on a Friday night?
Answer: Kids in bed early and a date night to remember without ever leaving the house!
Our adventure began back in the summer of 2005 when my husband and I came to the conclusion that we were just too tired of the club scene for our date nights. We found ourselves leaving the house at 6:30 for dinner and cocktails and back home by 8:30.
I found some sugar scrub at one of our local retail stores and, to put it bluntly, it made me very happy to take a bath. The problem was that this particular sugar scrub left me feeling too oily and created an oil slick in the tub. My husband fell victim (literally fell) several times, which became a problem.
I decided to make my own sugar scrub using all of my favorite scents and ingredients. After months of trial and error I finally came up with a formula that I think is perfect. Not oily, not too gritty and it lathers up so nicely I can’t help but smile just thinking about it. My husband loves it when I invite him to what we call a “Luv Scrub Party” because he knows that in our tub I love to be the scrubber and he gets to relax and be the scrubbee.
After thirteen years of marriage and three children we have reached a new level in our relationship where the excitement is created in the comfort of our own home. Nothing takes the edge off of a stressful day like sharing a hot bath with the one you love.
